funnnny

that was eally funny i laughed so much when his leg came off. I liked when the robot shot lasers out of his crotch. There was no turtle! it was the best movie i have ever seen i laughed my face off.

My computer couldn't export anything bigger than 5 mb so I was forced to put off
steve's intro for part 2

Decent

Enjoyed it, storytelling was nice, artwork was nice.
The only thing that bothered me is that everything seemed to be lacking in weight/gravity (which is hard to do) and needs improving.
For example in the opening shots when the main character falls to the floor needs to be eased more. And also when he zips from side to side it needs more detail on movement/easing/weight.

akoRn responds:

Thanks, this is some of my early attempt on frame to frame. And it's harder without any wabcome or anything. SO, I really need alot of time to make sure everything look like its actually rotating or turning.

I did learn ALOT from this project. Thanks!

Nice :D

A lovely flash, next time try a little harder on the tree's at the begining to make it seem more 3d, rahter than 2d based images.

Oh, and another tip, for your t-shirts link, use:
on(release){
getURL("yourwebsitehere", "_blank");
}
to open in a new window to browse, NG won't let you scroll in a submisison.

Wierd but funny.

Ghosty22 responds:

A little explanation would be nice... Are you talking about using tweened background and foreground pieces that move apart as I zoom in? For the 3d effect? Or do you know something I don't?

Impressive

But not perfect... You have a pause at the bottom, but when you pause it it doesn't pause nested MC's.
What you want to do is convert all the MC's to graphics with multiple frames, and then go to the properties panel.
The part where you can swap the symbols, below that is a drop down menu, select (play once). Now with that enabled, when you pause, it will all pause.
I hope this helps.

And now onto the movie, it was a loely style, and some great fbf work on the main character to a lovely song.

Nice work... and i hope you read this review.

You'll notice about half of the things DO pause when you pause the movie, because I used the "graphic, play once" method. But you have to realise that this is Flash 8, and some of the animations had effects like blurs and glows on them. You can only apply these effects to MovieClips, not graphics.

Very nice

Graphics are lovely.
But there are a couple of errors,
- Play buttons, please use the hitTest, double click the button, and draw a rectangle on the hitTest layer that covers the play. Making them easier to click.
- I love your shading style, but some effects such as the loading screen's hill and other hill in the movie can easily be shaded though radial shading, but then click and drag the fill to the bottom right to make it fit.

But it was great, a fantastic story, and i loved the harcore anal midgets ;)

Sexual-Lobster responds:

i didn't know that about the hitTest, but radial shading looks cheesy.

A well presented music video

But unfortunatly, us Newgrounders are hard to please.

The animation was great, should have been smoother in certain places, but was fantastic anyways. I remeber the character from DrLove and i'm overwhelmed that you've got another character.

But what us Newgrounders want something more than a music video of your characters, we want storyline or a comedy. This was just a bunch of well animated characters with little background.

I'm sure if you do a good comedy with these characters, you'll be able to get frontpage.

The lipsync was ok... it seemed better towards the ending, but you needed to add slightly more detail to the mouths, because it is seen so much, you shouldn't underanimate.
To make the lipsync better, add more mouths to the character, have a look at JackSmack's animation tutorial 3.

So, in future, add more to the background, and add some comedy storyline (comedys generally only have 1 or 2 backgrounds because they are generally shorter).

And, for future reference, i think you should have a look at the "V-Cam", perform a google search, and you should find an article about it, and a .fla to download. It's an "in flash" camera that you can tween and fade so you can have interesting camera shots. Just don't over-use it as it should be used subtley.

It might be interesting to think about doing simple shading on the characters when they arn't in lights, but it might ruin the style. But it is worth thinking about.

Wow, this review is getting too long, i'd better stop.

Nice animation and a good day to you. I'm awaiting your next submission.

Now this is what I call a review! Thank you very much for your comments, this is really helpful. I would really like to say something more about your comments but I can't choose my words, sorry. I'll try to spend more time about my production. Thanks again.

Nice one

Great animation. Must of taken you ages...

Wanna be taught flash! After watching that?!? I don't think you really need it!

Buttons, eg. Replay buttons can be learnt best by going to the forums on this site, searching for "AS: Main" then going to the last page, and click the buttons tutorial. Also, on that part o the site, there are hundreds of the best actionscript tutorials.

And or a preloader, there is the official that can be found (with instructions) at www . newgrounds . com / flash / index.html

and better preloaders at planetbob . net / ng/ pl /

Hope this helps.

And i enjoyed the flash.

thank you very much for your comments, especailly those tutorial stuff, it makes me easier to explore them. greatly appreciated. good day to you!

I like but...

It's not as good as your first one. The dialogue in this is pretty funny, but the animation could have been better, all i saw were heads talking, and poorly animated sven (that was hilarious btw).

Can't wait for your next instalment,

I think this series deserves a page on NG!

Ciao

ChrisNosal responds:

Yeah, I want to work in more animation in the future. But really, I'm not a great animator. I care more about the dialogue.

Thank you.

Better

I watched your one before, and this is better, the graphics are great, but prehaps a backing track would be nice.
I've tested it and i reccomend linkin park's faint, then it should scratch off the track when "nail factory" unveils.
That would be better, otherwise, the sounds could be improved with a sign falling sound.
Otherwise, good short, and good stick animation (better than most).

FlangeLord responds:

Thank you for being so intrested with the operation...How have You tested it...anyway thanks for sticking with it and ummm...I'll try linkin Park(even though i dont like them, sorry any fans)

Personally i enjoyed the ending best

I found this looking for my movie "Gangster vs kung fu", and supprise, it's almost like a remake of my movie.
This was funny, a bit repetitive though, but the end was good, keep it up!!!

Slick responds:

Thanks!

Wow, I'm such a flash fag!
