Well

There is some information in there, nothing major.
It's all copy+paste codes for n00bs. I suggest you start learning AS and build your own engines.

As for the flash format, the text sometimes overlapped which was annoying.
You should of provided examples of what was happening.

And you should of tought people the AS, showing them in stages what each bit does.

I suggest you got the the forums here on NG, and search for AS:Main, and then start learning some AS. With that under your belt, you'll have a better changce of getting something great in the portal.

You have tallent, but this isn't what you should use it for.

Mechabloby responds:

Thanks.

I shall do what you just said.

It was great

But you can make it better. If this is your first 3d work, i applaud you, 3d is damn hard to create. As for the improvements, for stage 2, i'd like to have some more coding like this:
Duck behind object, to aviod bullets, of you can.
Reload only after 6 bullets are gone. Otherwise you can tap space while tapping fire to never have to reload.
Reload to take some time (ducking would be nice here :D)
Anyways, onto the game, the gameplay was great, and there was also a little humor remembering the original unnessisary spining and crounching in all the original (virtua cop, time crisis 1+2+3)
Just for future reference, spend more time on the cutscene, it is a nice part of the movie, so you have to take extra special care with the graphics (and that means hand tweening! :P)

Anyways, it was a fantastic game, but better characters (if possible) would be awesome!

Otherwise, i loved it!

fungus-shark408 responds:

Hmm... Well the reloading is like other shooters. Yeah, cutscenes were a pain to do so I kinda skimped on them. And I'll probably improve the graphics next time.

Very hard

I was on level 7 and i had 57 deaths! How is someone gonna win that $40!
Anyways, simplistic but great... i loved it.
If this is for the contest, you might have won...
Just make sure you check out my christmas game too.

I gave it a 4/5

GAMECUBICLE responds:

if you play it a lot of times it should be possible. And its supposed to be hard rigth :P

Not great

You don't know what your talking about i'm afraid, most of the information is pointless and you just copied and pasted someone else's codes.
First, the driving car is upside down, the pivot isn't centered and you didn't explain the BASICS of the code, only the boundries.
That was bad.
How are people like you going to learn actionscript like this?!?

Tip, go NOW to the forums to AS: Main, and actually start LEARNING the code!

Secondly, the choice is colours is too dark, i can't read anything!?! And the menu is pretty damn shoddy, and when you click the item to enter, it is pretty poor. Becuase the item just disapears. The reason you havnt got that sound code sorted is because you dont know any! Goto AS: Main: it is really easy to fix :(

And the whole NG section is now up on the Help, it even gives you the CORRECT levels of B/P status.

Try harder, and PLEASE goto AS: Main

I enjoyed the music by ljcoffee, just have this music, otherwise the filesize is too big.

icorrectyourgrammar responds:

Actually i didn't copy anything except for the car code. sorry. so if you want to be a fag then thats fine. infact, i'm taking the whole project off. both of them.

An a great comic it is

But it's comic, your really good at your drawings, it's really impressive.
Have you tried animation, if you did animate this it would be an awesome series!
After viewing i've come up with a few suggestions for this comic.
First off, move the comic strip part nearer the next page, because frankly us idiots here at newgrounds (and all around the world), are exceptionaly lazy!
Seconly, if you click the mini characters to read more about them and then you go back, you lose the page you were on!
You can fix this by having a variable called pagenumber that is changed whatever page you are on, and then when you go on the information page, and then click back, you can tell flash to recall the number and then go to the corresponding page.
It may sound quite complex, but it is pretty easy when you get the hang of it. And you must already know a bit of actionscript from page turning.
If you want help with this, either search AS: Main for Actionscript turorials here on the forums, or email me via my profile.

Sorry, bit off topic, but it is a great comic!

Keep them coming!

WaldFlieger responds:

Thanks, glad you liked it! I'm working on an animation right now! I implemented your first proposal in the Flash following this one (OBS: Three Panel Comics 2), so I hope it's to your liking! Haven't tackled the second part yet, but it's a good idea that I'll look into.

OK

Right, this needs improving. The game mechanics are OK, the fun in it isn't that great. And the filesize for such a small game is pointless. Fix the file size, fix the screen size.
And change manual to instructions (i first thought it was a manual creator option eg. set speed etc.)

I let this pass but i know you can do better, try not to import jpgs but draw them straight in flash instead.

Keep trying.

DekapitatoR responds:

I think i cant draw the backgrounds in flash :P But i can try to fix the filesize. Thank you for your review.

I really liked it

Nice Denvish Day submission, The game was really addictive and i really liked it.
The sound was like an old arcade, but with quality background music and it gave it a nice touch.
However, even on Denvish Day, try to team up with an artist :( The graphics really let it down...

Great game though!

Paranoia responds:

I don't really want the graphics to be too complex - this seems to run slowly for my PC as it is. But I left a lot of stuff to the last minute in any case - I'd probably have done a lot better without the deadline (either that or not finished at all)

Much better

Those two thing really helped this flash.

I gave it a 3/5.

This has potential

Well, the trilogy of games.
Wanna know waht i thought? Then read on...
Well, the first game was alright, in fact the start was great graphics untill it actually got to the game. The game was a button on the left that basicly when you click it you watch the "health" go down to zero. (That isn't very entertaing...) But what you should do is create the button within the movie clip on his head. So then you have to shoot themoving head. THEN... you want to add another variable called "yourhealth" and have an invisable movie clip on screen saying yourhealth -=1 add a few blank frames, then tell it to gotoAndplay(1);
Then write if (yourhealth == 0) {
gotoAndStop("gameover")
}
Sumthing like that. Then you have a counter for your health going down. This should make the game a LOT better. Btw uber wade was pretty funny. And this game does have potential...

Now, the othergames the clown game... honestly this isn't a game... it's justWIERD :-/

And the final and third game... the background looks good m8. Good actionscripting so far... (i like the fact that you can't go off the screen). And it's fun to see tom fart.

The best Glock submission seen yet (sorry, i don't like glocks)

But otherwise keep it up m8.

Dual-Glock responds:

Thank you very much for your excelent review!

I will take your advice and make the improvements!

Thanks once agian!
